Food Cozy

This was my week two submission for SYTYC...Once again I managed to make it into 2nd place! Which I may add is a great place to be! Last weeks category was called 'Under $5.00' I made this project the week Parlee was in the hospital, (So life was a little hectic to say the least) and I only submitted it in just the nick of time!

If you’re too busy to give your neighbor a helping hand, then you’re just too darned busy.

Need to get a meal to someone sick? Dinner to a family with a new baby?

Do you want your Brownies to be warm when you get to a party?
Or maybe you need a housewarming gift?
...You need the food cozy

I love to make meals for those around me. I enjoy this simple act of service that can be accomplished even with a growing family at home.

This carrier was made for under $5.00 and can easily transport a meal from your house to another. This simple pattern was one of my great grandmother's.

So go raid the piggy bank and lets make this inexpensive project together.

  1. I voted for you! As a pastor, I am always taking food to families at church who are going through a hard time. I wish I had the tutorial to have the women's group make a bunch to give with the food. I think it is beautiful!

  2. I do have a tutorial for this....however as a 'rule' for SYTYC we have to wait one week to post it....So look for it next week ;-)

  3. I voted for your crafts the last two weeks, I hope you post tutorial soons. I loved the last two projects.

  4. I am so excited for a tutorial for this one. I loved it on SYTYC! I love the stuff you make!

  5. Yeah!!! I'm so glad you are going to post the tutorial for the "Food Cozy". Its frustrating when the person you want to win doesnt because then you don't get the tutorial for the item you REALLY wanted. So, Thank you for still posting it! Just like with your cute purse...oh i SOO wanted to know how to make one.

  6. I so knew this was yours and I totally loved it! Looking forward to the tutorial!

  7. Oh, I was hoping this one would win, too! I'll be looking forward to your tutorial. :)

  8. oh i LOVED this one too!!!!! Can't wait to make my own!
